YEIDA approves its largest-ever budget: Rs 11,829 crore, with Rs 8,000 crore for airport-belt land

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) approved a budget of Rs 11,829 crore for 2026-27 – by a wide margin its biggest ever. The breakdown is telling: Rs 8,000 crore for land acquisition near Jewar Airport, Rs 2,011 crore for Yamuna City development, Rs 502 crore for airport-related works, Rs 300 crore for multimodal connectivity, and Rs 705 crore for loan repayment. The board also approved a 3.6 percent hike on property allotment rates effective April 1, 2026.

For transparency on timing: this budget was approved earlier in 2026 and is being surfaced here as important context rather than as breaking news – but the scale of the commitment has not dated. The single Rs 8,000 crore land-acquisition line is the largest such number this belt has seen, and it tells you exactly where the Authority is putting its money: the ground around the airport.

For buyers and investors, a record budget with the bulk aimed at airport-belt land is a strong institutional vote of confidence in the Jewar and Yamuna corridor – the kind of ‘put the money where the plan is’ signal that underpins long-term appreciation. The balanced note is that land acquisition and development play out over years, and the 3.6 percent allotment-rate hike is a reminder that official prices in the belt are rising too. Treat it as confirmation of the corridor’s direction, and judge specific projects on their own approvals and connectivity.
