Greater Noida to widen roads for Rs 100 crore ahead of the new Hindon bridge, with trees and poles in the way

Ahead of the new Hindon bridge between Noida and Greater Noida, the authorities plan to spend about Rs 100 crore widening the approach roads that will feed it, including stretches around Knowledge Park-3. The new bridge is meant to give commuters a shorter route between Noida and Greater Noida that bypasses the congested Pari Chowk junction and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, cutting the trip by roughly 10 km. The hold-up on the road side is physical: mature trees and electricity poles standing in the middle of the roads being widened are proving the main obstacle, and have to be shifted before the carriageways can be broadened.

A bridge is only as useful as the roads that feed it, so the quieter story here is the approach-road widening – without it, a new crossing just moves the jam somewhere else.

For buyers along the Greater Noida and Knowledge Park belt, better road links to Noida are a genuine long-term positive for connectivity and values. The honest caveat is that this is still a work in progress with its own obstacles – tree and pole shifting, land and utility clearances – so treat it as connectivity that is coming rather than already in place, and track how quickly the widening and the bridge actually finish.
