LuLu Group has opened a hypermarket of about 100,000 square feet at I-Thums Galleria Mall in Greater Noida, which it describes as its first hypermarket in the city. The store, inaugurated in mid-October 2026 in the presence of Uttar Pradesh ministers Rakesh Sachan and Sanjay Singh Gangwar along with LuLu Group chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. and executive director Ashraf Ali M.A., stocks fresh fruit and vegetables, groceries and household essentials, international products, electronics and home appliances, an in-house bakery and ready-to-eat counters. LuLu, which operates more than 285 stores and 24 malls across over 35 countries, is positioning the launch as part of its wider push across Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh, serving residents of Greater Noida, Noida and nearby areas.

A big-brand hypermarket is a vote of confidence in an area’s spending power, and a draw in its own right – organised retail of this scale tends to follow, and then reinforce, residential density.

For buyers in the Greater Noida West and wider Greater Noida belt, anchors like this are a quality-of-life and convenience signal: everyday retail, jobs and footfall that make the surrounding micro-markets more liveable and, over time, support rental demand. It is a lifestyle-infrastructure positive rather than a direct price trigger, so weigh it as one more reason the area is maturing, alongside the usual project-level checks.
