Greater Noida Authority’s 144th board meeting, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar with CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar presenting, cleared several decisions at once. The headline is a Rs 756.01 crore double-decker road at Shahberi, connecting the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (near Crossing Republik) to the statue rotary, with the cost split equally across the Yamuna, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad authorities and links running towards the Jewar airport corridor and the Khurja-Palwal Expressway.
Alongside it, the board approved a new Junpat-Bodaki arterial – a 105-metre-wide, 10-lane road extending 12 km to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (about 6 km is already built), with three planned overbridges – and a long-pending footover bridge over a rail line at Rithauri village, a 2022 request now fully funded by the Authority.
The meeting also carried a welfare package that is worth noting alongside the big-ticket roads: EWS and migrant-worker housing at Patwari and Biraundi villages (construction expected to start by end-2026), transit labour hostels at Ecotech-06 and 11, and a public library at Sector Alpha-1. Importantly for existing homebuyers, the project-completion deadline for current allottees was extended to June 30, 2028.
For buyers, the useful read is that this is an Authority actively building across both connectivity and liveability – a healthy sign for the region’s long-term trajectory. The balanced note is the familiar one: these are board approvals, so the value lands on execution. Track the double-decker road and the Junpat-Bodaki arterial for actual construction, and if you are an existing allottee, the extended June 2028 completion deadline is the detail that directly affects you.
