TCC Concept Limited – a diversified group with consumer-tech, logistics and IT operations, including Pepperfry – has disclosed, through its subsidiary NES Data Private Limited, an MOU to develop a data centre campus of up to 60MW IT load capacity at the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi. That scales up from its existing 4MW facility, with a medium-term target of 100MW aggregate capacity in Pune.
Development will be phased. No capex figure or firm timeline has been disclosed yet, and completion is subject to due diligence and regulatory approvals. Chairman Umesh Sahay said the investment strengthens the company’s position in India’s fast-growing technology sector.
A data centre brings a different footprint than an IT office – construction and technical staff and round-the-clock operations rather than a large daytime workforce – but it is still a genuine investment signal for the Hinjewadi belt. Paired with the fresh developer activity in Wakad and Punawale, it points to continued momentum in the corridor.
