NorthWind Estates won a 5-acre plot in YEIDA’s Sector 22D for Rs 189 crore, with chairman Manoj Kumar Garg pointing to proximity to Jewar Airport as the reason. It was a smaller deal by the year’s standards, but one more data point in a spring that saw developer after developer bet on the Yamuna Expressway corridor specifically because of the airport.
The pattern is what matters here: multiple developers, over several months, paying up for land whose main selling point is the airport next door.
For buyers, developer land-buying near Jewar is a useful confidence signal for the corridor. As always, a land win is the start of a project, not a finished home – watch for the actual RERA-registered launch before drawing conclusions on price.
