A new link road meant to shorten the trip between Noida and Greater Noida is close to opening. The route runs from Sectors 146 and 147 in Noida to LG Chowk in Greater Noida, across a now-completed bridge over the Haranandi river. According to the latest status, the Noida Authority has finished its approach road, and on the Greater Noida side the approach road and surfacing are in the final stage after a land dispute was resolved, so the authorities say the road will open soon – no firm date has been given. Once live, it will let drivers coming off the Delhi and Noida Expressway toward Pari Chowk, Surajpur and Ghaziabad avoid a detour of about 16 km, and roughly 5 lakh vehicle users are expected to benefit. Sectors 151, 153, 154 and 155 and their industrial areas will get better connectivity, residents of nine nearby villages will find it easier to reach the Delta, Site-B, Site-C and Ecotech industrial areas, and pressure on DSC Road and the expressway should ease. One caveat on the full vision: an 800-metre underpass planned to connect the road directly into the expressway between Sectors 145, 146, 155 and 159 is only about 20 per cent built (costing around Rs 99.74 crore), so until it is done, traffic will cross via a planned signal rather than a seamless link.
For the fast-growing residential and industrial pockets along the Noida Expressway’s far end, a shortcut that erases a 16 km loop is the kind of everyday-commute fix that genuinely changes how liveable a sector feels.
For buyers, a near-complete bridge and approach road – with the hardest part, the river crossing, already built – is a credible, near-term connectivity gain for Sectors 146-147 and the 150s, and better links of this kind generally support end-user demand and values. The honest caveats are worth holding onto: the official line is ‘opening soon’ without a date, this project has a long history (it was first announced back in 2019), and the underpass that would make the expressway connection seamless is still at an early stage. So treat it as a strong, imminent positive to track rather than a settled fact, confirm the road has actually opened before you factor the saved time into a purchase, and keep any decision anchored to RERA-registered projects with clear title in these sectors.
