Noida’s air-conditioned skywalk connecting the Sector 52 metro station (Blue Line) directly to the Sector 51 metro station (Aqua Line) held a technical trial run today and is now confirmed to open to the public on August 25. The date shifted slightly from an original August 16 target because finishing touches remain at the entry and exit points.
The project also had to work around a structural constraint: a pillar along the route could not be removed, so engineers designed the passage with roughly 6 metres of clearance on each side of it. Once open, the skywalk gives commuters a seamless, weather-protected interchange between the two metro lines – with no need to cross at street level.
This resolves a project whose status had been unclear for months. For renters and commuters in the Sector 51-52 corridor, a direct Blue-Line-to-Aqua-Line walkway is a genuine convenience upgrade – the kind of connectivity detail that supports rental demand around interchange stations.
