Noida Film City: developer expects financial closure within a week, work by end-August

The roughly 1,000-acre Film City project in YEIDA Sector 21 – Phase 1 covering 230 acres at Rs 1,510 crore, developed by Bayview Bhutani International Film City Pvt Ltd (backed by Boney Kapoor and the Bhutani Group) – has been stuck on mandatory financial closure since it was first announced six years ago. A fresh report now quotes a developer/YEIDA official expecting closure within a week, with construction to begin by end-August 2026.

This is a genuine update – a concrete near-term date – rather than a repeat of the old announcement. That said, given the project’s history of slipped timelines, it is best treated as “worth watching” rather than confirmed.

For the Jewar belt, a moving Film City would be a meaningful demand and employment anchor. But buyers should anchor decisions on delivery, not announcements – this one has been “coming soon” for years, so the sensible stance is cautious optimism until ground actually breaks.
