The Noida Development Authority’s Planning Department has sealed three shops at the Mahagun Moderne society (plot JPS-2) in Sector 78, after finding that unauthorised structural changes had been made to approved room layouts and that commercial shops were being run in violation of land-use rules.
The action followed a complaint-driven investigation, and officials said enforcement against unauthorised construction and commercial activity would continue across the city. (This is a separate Mahagun property from the Maywoods water issue reported earlier.)
For buyers and tenants, the takeaway is a practical one: always verify a unit’s approved use and sanctioned plan before purchasing or leasing. A shop or office operating in a space not cleared for it can be sealed – and that risk sits with the occupant, not only the builder. Checking the approved layout and land-use is a small step that avoids a costly surprise.
