Noida Authority has asked IIT Roorkee to prepare a detailed project report (DPR), due by August 15, for a new elevated road extending from the existing Chilla Elevated Road. The 2km stretch would run parallel to the Shahdara Nala, cross the Magenta Line near Okhla Bird Sanctuary metro station, and terminate at the Sector 94 roundabout before descending to Yamuna Pushta Road. The estimated cost is ₹235 crore.
Per the Authority, the goal is direct, signal-free movement from Mayur Vihar into Sector 94 and eventually onward toward Greater Noida via an elevated expressway improving connectivity for Sectors 125-128 along the expressway.
Next steps after DPR approval are clearances from the Delhi government and the Irrigation Department (for the Shahdara Nala/Kalindi Kunj routing), followed by tendering. It’s another piece in a fast-growing Noida connectivity stack that supports the long-term case for the expressway sectors.
