The state industries department is developing a proposal for an IT park on about 572 hectares of government land across three villages in Purandar taluka, close to the planned Purandar airport. The stated goals are to decongest Hinjewadi and stop IT firms relocating out of it, with employment potential of up to 1 lakh jobs. As of mid-September the proposal still awaited state Cabinet approval.

A second major IT node, anchored to the new airport, would meaningfully reshape where Pune’s office growth goes over the next decade.

For buyers, this is an early, high-upside signal for the Purandar belt – but it is a proposal awaiting approval, not a funded project. Treat it as a long-horizon watch item and look for Cabinet clearance and actual land development before reading it into prices.
