Greater Noida Authority demolishes illegal land grab worth Rs 48 crore in Bilaspur

The Greater Noida Authority’s (GNIDA) Work Circle-8 team has demolished boundary walls, concrete structures and unauthorised roads on roughly 24,000 sq m of government-notified land (plot no. 1554) in Bilaspur – land reported to be worth about Rs 48 crore. Colonisers had allegedly been illegally subdividing and selling plots despite prior notices; the action was directed by CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar.

It follows a similar enforcement pattern seen in other recent Authority actions against unauthorised colonies in the region.

For buyers, this is the clearest possible reminder of the “verify before you buy” rule: never purchase a plot without checking the title and the Authority’s own land records, because unauthorised subdivisions on notified land can be demolished – and the loss falls on the buyer. (This action was reported by a single outlet, so treat the exact figures as indicative.)
