Ghaziabad-Jewar Namo Bharat corridor: 72km, 11 rapid-rail and 18 metro stations to Noida airport

NCRTC has detailed a proposed 72.44km regional transit corridor linking the existing Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat line at Ghaziabad South all the way to Noida International Airport at Jewar – 71.5km elevated, 1.29km underground, running at up to 180 kmph. It is planned with 11 Namo Bharat (RRTS) stations – Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida Sectors 2/3/12, Surajpur, Alpha-I, EcoTech-VI, Dankaur, YEIDA North (Sector 18), YEIDA Central (Sector 21) and the airport – plus 18 additional metro stations along the same corridor.

Projected travel time from Ghaziabad to the airport is 40-50 minutes. The project is still at the Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage – alignment and station plans aren’t finalised – so this is a “what’s being planned” story, not a construction update.

For anyone in Greater Noida, YEIDA or along the Yamuna Expressway, this is the kind of connectivity that reshapes micro-markets: sectors that get a station (Greater Noida 2/3/12 and YEIDA North/Central stand out) tend to draw the strongest appreciation interest. Keep expectations at “coming, not confirmed” – it still has to clear DPR, approvals and funding before construction.
