Escorts Kubota’s Rs 2,025 crore YEIDA Sector 10 plant gets its foundation laid

A day after being confirmed at the UP-Japan Investment Meet, Escorts Kubota’s Rs 2,025 crore first-phase plant in Sector 10, YEIDA had its foundation laid on August 19. CM Yogi Adityanath performed the groundbreaking virtually from the Meet at Delhi’s Taj Palace, with simultaneous events at the Jewar site. Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the Delhi event.

The plant sits on a 154-acre parcel and will manufacture tractors and construction equipment – serving domestic demand while also functioning as an export hub, built around Japanese manufacturing technology transferred through the Escorts-Kubota partnership. Over 3,800 jobs are expected. Jewar MLA Dheerendra Singh used the occasion to remind attendees of the farmers who gave up their land and to push for local-youth hiring priority.

This is the “from announcement to construction” follow-through that matters: it shows the UP-Japan meet is translating into actual ground activity. For the Jewar belt, a 154-acre plant with 3,800+ jobs is a concrete, jobs-led demand driver – and the local-hiring push is a fair, community-first note worth keeping in view.
