Ashiana Housing purchased 28.55 acres in Vadgaon, Pune – outright, not via a joint venture – for its largest senior-living project to date, targeting roughly Rs 1,800 crore in revenue from about 20 lakh sq ft of saleable development. The announcement came alongside a record annual pre-sales figure for the company.
Senior living is a genuinely different demand engine than IT-driven housing, and a big bet on it signals that Pune’s buyer base is broadening beyond the tech-corridor thesis.
For buyers, a specialised, well-funded senior-living project widens the city’s product mix. As with any pre-launch, weigh it on price, amenities, care model and delivery when it comes to market.
