YEIDA’s ‘New Yamuna City’ vision firms up — consultant tender closes August 5

YEIDA has reframed its 8,000-hectare Jewar Airport–Tappal-Bajna corridor as ‘New Yamuna City’ — a full residential, education, healthcare, hospitality and retail ecosystem, rather than a purely industrial zone.

A formal 10-month roadmap is now in motion: months 1–6 for a techno-economic feasibility report, and months 7–10 to finalise the master plan. Consultant bid submissions close on August 5, with technical bids opening August 7.

In a related move, the Noida Authority is reviving stalled Sector-150 Sports City residential plots — 27 subleased builder projects in SC-1 and 24 in SC-2 — by allowing troubled builders to bring in joint-development partners.

Together, the two decisions signal a push to unlock large-scale residential supply along the Yamuna corridor — dates worth marking for buyers tracking the airport belt.
