Centre approves ₹2,300-crore, 12km six-lane elevated road from Dadri to Lal Kuan

Union road transport & highways minister Nitin Gadkari’s ministry has approved a 12km, six-lane elevated highway connecting Dadri to Lal Kuan in Ghaziabad, at a cost of about ₹2,300 crore.

The corridor is aimed squarely at the chronic NH-9 congestion that daily affects commuters across Noida, Greater Noida, Bulandshahr, Khurja, Aligarh and Agra. The tender is expected to be issued in October 2026.

Officials have framed the road as regional economic infrastructure rather than a local bypass — explicitly supporting connectivity to ‘New Noida’ (DNGIR), Noida International Airport at Jewar, and the Dedicated Freight Corridor. For the wider Greater Noida–Dadri belt, it adds to a growing stack of connectivity upgrades that underpins the area’s long-term appreciation case.
