The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has begun acquiring land for the final stretch of a 120-metre-wide road that will connect about 13 of its planned sectors to Noida International Airport. The full road runs roughly 15 km along the eastern side of the Yamuna Expressway, from the Salarpur underpass toward the proposed Palwal-Khurja Expressway. About 8 km, from the Salarpur underpass to Sector 22E, is already built, with work ongoing on another 2 km or so; land purchase is now under way for the remaining 5 km. Once complete, the road will be linked to the Falaida Cut interchange, giving the sectors a direct route to the airport, to Faridabad and to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. YEIDA also plans to tie it into a 130-metre road coming from Greater Noida West, which would add routes from Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad. The sectors set to benefit – 22A to 22F, 23A to 23E, 24 and 24A – are being developed with residential, institutional and mixed-use projects, with Sector 22E planned as an education hub. Rajendra Bhati, General Manager (Project) at YEIDA, said the 120-metre road will make it easier to reach the airport from the main sectors of Yamuna City. The authority has not yet disclosed a cost or a completion date for the pending stretch.
For the Yamuna belt, this is the kind of groundwork that matters more than any single launch: wide, planned arterial roads tied directly to the airport are what turn allotment maps into places people can actually live and commute from.
For buyers, a 120-metre road and a direct airport link are genuine long-term positives for these sectors – better connectivity is one of the clearest drivers of end-user demand near Jewar. The honest caveats are the ones this project itself shows: the road is still part-built, the last 5 km depends on land acquisition that is only just starting, and YEIDA has put no timeline on it. Land deals can slip, as the authority’s own unfinished stretches on this road show. So treat the corridor as a strong reason to track these sectors, buy only RERA-registered plots and projects with clear title, and weigh the connectivity as it actually gets delivered rather than paying today for a road that is still being assembled.
