The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has moved to set aside about 2,000 hectares around Noida International Airport at Jewar for a civil aviation hub, with the land use reclassified for civil aviation industry. The zone is planned to house aircraft-component and spare-part manufacturing, maintenance-repair-overhaul (MRO) facilities, assembly and aviation logistics, and is being built into the authority’s longer-range Yamuna City master plan. Noida Airport nodal officer Shailendra Bhatia has described roughly 2,000 hectares around the airport as designated for the civil aviation hub.
