Noida Authority bulldozes 7 illegal farmhouses in Sector 151 floodplain, frees ~32,670 sqm

Noida Authority’s Work Circle-10, backed by police, has demolished seven illegal luxury farmhouses built in the Yamuna/Hindon river floodplain across two sites — Kondli Bangar village in Sector 151 (about 10,000 sqm freed) and gram Jhatta, khesra no. 456 (about 22,670 sqm, tied to unauthorised plotting) — reclaiming a combined ~32,670 sqm of government land.

The action follows a June 2026 directive from CEO Krishna Karunesh asking circle officers to identify and act against unauthorised construction in flood-prone zones, which officials say obstructs water flow and raises flood risk. The Authority has signalled a ‘zero tolerance’ stance, with continued surveillance and further action planned.

For buyers, the lesson is to check a plot’s flood-zone status — its position relative to the High Flood Level (HFL) — alongside RERA and title checks before buying land or farmhouse-style property near the Yamuna/Hindon belt. A cheap riverfront plot is no bargain if it sits on land that can be reclaimed or barred from construction.
