Noida Authority approves about Rs 300 crore road-redesign package to ease key bottlenecks

Noida Authority, under CEO Krishna Karunesh, has approved a freshly cleared package worth about Rs 300 crore to redesign several of the city’s busiest corridors. The list includes extra lanes from the Sector 62 roundabout to Sector 63 Chhijarsi; widening on the Sector 62 to Mamura stretch; new hi-tech skywalks between Electronic City and NH-9; widening of the DND and Kalindi Kunj loop; a new foot-over bridge at Hajipur; an extra lane near Film City; tree relocation at Sector 95; standardised NHAI-spec U-turns across the city; and mechanical road-sweeping for dust control.

This is a practical, everyday-commute package rather than a single flagship project – a bundle of targeted fixes at points that Noida residents already know as bottlenecks, from the Sector 62 roundabout to the DND and Kalindi Kunj approaches.

For owners and buyers along these corridors – Sector 62 and 63, the Electronic City and NH-9 stretch, and the Film City side – smoother traffic and better pedestrian links are a genuine quality-of-life gain, and the dust-control step is a nice liveability detail.
