Noida Authority has approved a 710-metre, six-lane underpass at Parthala Chowk, the busy FNG (Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad) corridor junction that connects towards Vikas Marg, Ghaziabad, NH-9, the Meerut Expressway and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The project is estimated at Rs 80 crore with an 18-month build timeline.
On the engineering, the plan is a 110-metre RCC box, a 20-metre open section and 280 metres of approach roads on both sides using diaphragm-wall construction, along with two sumps designed to prevent waterlogging – a useful, specific detail given how often Noida underpasses flood in the monsoon. The Authority lists Sectors 66, 71, 121 and 122, Kisan Chowk and Chhijarsi as the direct beneficiaries.
For residents and owners across Noida West and the sectors around Parthala Chowk, this is a practical, everyday-commute upgrade rather than a speculative one: the junction is a daily bottleneck, and grade-separating it should meaningfully cut waiting times once complete. As always with approvals, the value lands on delivery – a smooth 18-month build would be a genuine quality-of-life gain for the corridor, so it is worth tracking construction progress rather than banking the benefit today.
