NBCC auctions 111 completed Amrapali flats in Noida for Rs 416.5 crore

NBCC has concluded an e-auction of 111 completed flats at the Aspire Silicon City project in Noida for about Rs 416.5 crore, earning a 1 percent marketing fee on the sale. The auction is part of the Supreme Court-mandated programme under which NBCC is completing and monetising stalled Amrapali projects to recover value from inventory that was stuck for years.

The significance is less the single sale and more what it represents: the court-monitored revival of Amrapali is steadily converting finished, unsold units into cash and closure. For the thousands of buyers who were caught when Amrapali collapsed, visible progress like this is the encouraging part of a long, slow process.

For buyers today, there are two honest takeaways. First, this shows the completion mechanism is working and moving finished stock – a positive for confidence in these specific projects. Second, it is a standing reminder of why the fundamentals matter: buy from developers and projects with clean approvals and a credible delivery record, because recovering a stalled project takes years of court supervision even when it eventually works out.
